It secures underneath using 1/2" flat head screws . While in place this still allows you to use both pipe holes, as well as center mounted, offset, or bridged 12" truss. The threaded 5/8" feet remain clear for leveling. This part does not affect the base's overall dimensions, so the 20" cart and related accessories can still be used.
Due to how unexpectedly heavy this makes baseplates. We powder coat them red so that there is a bit of warning to any crew before they throw out their back.
