Ordering & Pricing

We don’t offer traditional wholesale pricing or quantity-based discounts. All of our sales are direct and already competitively priced.

As we build relationships with clients who place consistent, quality orders, we do our best to reciprocate that trust in other ways—such as prioritizing production scheduling, offering early sneak peeks or prototype access to new solutions, and sending out new swag whenever it comes our way.

Shipping & delivery

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on size, weight, and destination. Large or heavy items typically ship via LTL freight.

Only for freight, A handling charge may apply, and we are not responsible for carrier-related delays or damage once the shipment leaves our facility.

Inspect shipments immediately and note any damage with the carrier. Contact us as soon as possible so we can help resolve the issue.

Lead times & production

Most of our products are built in batches. Some items may be in stock, while others are made to order. Lead times are shown on product pages whenever possible.

Occasionally, depending on production load. Rush requests may include additional fees and are not guaranteed.

products & compatibility

The Ultimate carts are purpose-built around our Ultimate line of bases and accessories. Although customers occasionally report successful use with other manufacturers’ plates, we don’t test or certify compatibility with third-party products and aren’t able to provide guidance on those configurations.

Our core products are designed to be highly versatile and universal where industry standards exist, but beyond that, we cannot guarantee compatibility.

Our clients are often drawn to our designs not just for their innovation, but for the thoughtful integration of accessories that create sleek, modular packages. To achieve this, we’ve invested significant R&D into developing carts, cases, and other products that enhance the performance and value of our solutions.

Because of this investment, we cannot devalue our offerings by adapting them to work with competing products or those outside our lineup.

The 20" Ultimate Theater Base weighs 55 lb and is built from 1/2" plate with machined, threaded components welded into a single assembly. The light-duty version weighs 35 lb and is formed from a single piece of 1/4" plate.

Which option is best depends largely on how often and where it will be used. The light-duty version has less thread engagement, so if it’s assembled and disassembled frequently, it may not hold up as well if threads aren’t treated carefully.

The light-duty base also has more potential to scratch floors, as the edge of the 1/4" plate contacts the ground instead of a large machined flat foot with a rounded edge.

Both versions share the same 20" × 20" × 1.25" dimensions, the same cutouts for pipe, truss, and accessories, and both accept the 20" Ultimate weight.

Local plumbing suppliers can often provide custom-length threaded pipe for less than what we pay for raw materials.

To make pipe sections viable alongside our other products, we developed a unique version that we manufacture in large batches. Our knockout design maintains structural integrity for its intended use while adding versatility for securely tying off light trees or discreetly running cables through the pipe itself.

In terms of engineering stamps or certified load ratings, every situation is unique. Factors like wind, height, live vs. static loads, and the possibility of impact all affect real-world performance. With the many ways our products can be used, even general guidelines have proven difficult to define.

The reality is that the vast majority of structures in the field are erected using the “looks about right” method. Unfortunately—but understandably—there are no hard rules established by manufacturers or governing bodies for many of these applications.

As a general best practice, keep your structure within the footprint of the baseplate and maintain at least as much ballast at ground level as you’re adding at elevation.

If you require certified drawings or stamped calculations, we can work with your team and a third-party engineering firm to develop a plan tailored to your specific setup.

customization & special requests

Unlike many companies in our space that are structured around mostly custom builds, we’ve taken the opposite approach.

Our team comes from live production—we’ve spent years on the road and on job sites, seeing firsthand the challenges crews face. That experience has shaped designs that solve common problems better than traditional custom approaches.

Our products may not perfectly match existing workflows, but they’re highly refined, built for compatibility and repeatability, and designed to streamline work—not just get through it.

If you’re looking for a modified version of one of our products to match your existing gear or habits, that’s almost never something we offer.

If you’re open to evolving how your team works, we’d love to help. If you’re just looking for someone to replicate your old design, we’re probably not the right fit.

While we love helping out the industry and building slick widgets for people, there can be a lot of work involved in building even the simplest part. As a leading innovator of case and base solutions, we have to be careful not to sidetrack our own innovation or create parts that compete with designs we have or are actively developing.

Since we’ve moved toward larger batch production and increased automation, it is generally not practical for us to take on custom projects unless there is a large quantity involved.

A few things we will not do:

  • We will not build someone else’s part.
  • We will not build an item that competes with a solution we already offer.
  • We will not knock off or adapt our own designs into one-off custom versions.

While some modifications and re-branding were allowed in our early years, the scale of our current manufacturing—along with engineering and insurance requirements—no longer makes potentially structural modifications possible.

Adding branding with stickers or stencils is always encouraged. While you’re welcome to cover our logo, we generally recommend keeping it visible as a selling point.

Our products are widely recognized as some of the most stable and versatile solutions in the industry, and companies across the U.S. frequently reach out looking for rental houses that carry them.

Much like how “Made in China” markings can raise concerns on rigging components, the EF logo and red/black branding serve as a mark of confidence and reliability in the field.

We understand that one-size-fits-all solutions are rarely effective, and many manufacturers build most of their business around custom shapes and sizes. That approach has proven unsustainable for us.

The true value of our focused product lines lies in the extensive, cross-compatible accessories we offer, allowing us to create sleek, modular packages.

The dimensions of our products are carefully chosen to maximize versatility and compatibility. Even small changes would introduce unforeseen incompatibilities, requiring an entirely new set of parts to be engineered, tested, and tooled.

While customization is appealing, we believe our solutions cover the vast majority of real-world applications, even if that sometimes requires a different approach or investment in a new solution.

quality & warranty

We understand that sometimes the powder coat or bedliner finish of our products may not arrive in pristine condition. If there is a major issue with a finish, we absolutely want to make it right.

Minor imperfections—similar to normal wear and tear—are considered within our production standards. Our focus is on building products that are tough, reliable, and functional.

Most products will get scratched, scuffed, and banged around even during their first use. A true showroom finish would significantly increase the cost of many of our products.

For events where a pristine look is critical, we recommend investing in covers. Several companies offer both generic and custom-fit covers for bases, truss, and pipe.

within 14 days, unused, non-custom items may be returned with approval and may be subject to restocking fees. Custom or made-to-order items are not returnable.

Yes. Our products are built to last. If there’s a manufacturing defect, we’ll make it right.
